Toons On Tap is a costumed life drawing event located in downtown Toronto, Canada.
Launched in February 2012 at The Smiling Buddha, Toons On Tap has been held at the stage of The Rivoli, the back of The Cameron House, the rooftop patio of XMG Studio, The Toronto Animation Arts Festival International’s 2013 fund raiser, and upstairs at The Rhino Bar & Grill. Now, we have made our home upstairs at Round Venue in Kensington Market.
Organized by Toronto artists Jeremy Cardarelli and Lauri Lewis, Toons On Tap was created with the animator in mind. Every session features costumed models best described as ‘living cartoon characters’. We’ve had veteran art models, spooky teenagers, burlesque divas, drag queens, and at least one Internet celebrity in a batsuit.
Event and concert photographer Jeffrey Danyleyko photographs our regular sessions and special events.
Our mission with Toons On Tap is to get you to draw more. Don’t let your sketchbook collect dust!
